PWPSD has selected the winner of the 2020 Christmas Card Art Contest.

On December 3, Riley McLaughlin (left) and Chris Moore (middle) of Grassroots Realty presented a $500 cheque to Harry Balfour School Principal Jen Clevette (right) as part of their ‘12 Days of Giving’ initiative to support local organizations at Christmas time.

PWPSD has been advised of a case of COVID-19 at Harry Balfour School. School administration communicated the information to families and staff on Tuesday morning, December 1, 2020.

UPDATE #2, Monday, November 30, 2020, 10:55 a.m. – The RCMP have lifted the Hold and Secure affecting schools in the Avondale and Royal Oaks neighbourhoods, including Harry Balfour School, Peace Wapiti Academy and the Peace Wapiti Enterprise Centre. School life has returned to normal. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

With a state of public health emergency declared by the Government of Alberta on November 24, 2020, new mandatory measures will be in place for education province-wide, effective Monday, November 30, 2020.
