Orange Shirt Day at HBS

On September 29th, our HBS community came together to recognize Orange Shirt Day and honour the Survivors of residential schools, remember the children who never made it home, and reflect on the importance of reconciliation.

Our students and staff proudly wore orange to share the message that Every Child Matters. 🧡

Thank you to everyone who helped make this day meaningful and gave our students an opportunity to learn, listen, remember, and show compassion.

Peace Wapiti Public School Division acknowledges the traditional homelands of this area's diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people. Our name, Peace Wapiti, pays tribute to two of the many rivers within our boundaries, which exist within Treaty 8 territory. We are committed to working together to ensure these lands and its people are cared for and respected as long as the sun shines, grass grows, and rivers flow.
