Students in Kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 2 had a visit from the Grande Prairie County Fire Department. Firefighters Jim and Kathy discussed the importance of smoke detectors and how to exit their homes safely, if a fire occurs. They also discussed the importance of having a meeting place outside of the house. The students practiced how to Stop, Drop, Cover your Face, and Roll, in case their clothing caught on fire.
